Cardano SPO Column: Block Producer Austria [ERE]

This week’s guest at the Cardano SPO column is a Operational pool operated by 3 friends from Austria who also have a YouTube channel: Block producer Austria [ERE].

Last week’s guest was a stake pool who donates part of the pool premiums to climate protection initiatives.

This initiative is a reference point for everything Cardano and we will invite one every week or two Stake Pool Operator (SPO) to answer some questions and give us an update straight from the Cardano community.

Considering that many of our readers are new to the crypto space, We will have a mix of simple and technical questions.

Cardano SPO, interview with block producer Austria [ERE]

Cardano SPO [ERE] has a 0% fee on delegate rewards

Hello, thanks for your time. Tell us about your team, where are you based and what are your backgrounds?

Thank you for being part of your initiative to give SPO space to appear. Block Producer consists of three friends with an IT and finance background. We are located in Vienna, the beautiful capital of Austria.

Each of us has our strengths in the team and that makes us special. Two of us always take care of the infrastructure and one is always responsible for the social media and content. YouTube is a big part of that of course, and that takes a lot of time. As pool operators, we are there for all the concerns of the delegates and support them wherever we can. We have that now too Registered as an ISPO for some projects in order to obtain added value for the delegators.

What convinced you about Cardano and why did you become a Stake Pool Operator (SPO)?

It all started with Charles Hoskinson‘S TED talk about the Development of the blockchain and how it comes into the world. That inspired us. Banking the Unbanked. At the same time, it was important to us that Cardano attaches great importance to this academic research and testing of the material before it is implemented. Because this is where it often shows whether it works or not.

We have therefore started to discuss internally how we can support this development. That’s why we decided to appear here as SPO. On the one hand to supply the infrastructure for decentralization, but also to provide value to the community through our Youtube channel.

What excites you most about Cardano in 2022, what developments are you looking forward to?

In 2022, the focus is on the community. On the one hand the new projects (RealFi, DEX, converter) will come to the blockchain. On the other hand, we will also see Governance with relay on IOG handed over to the community, which is also an important step with that Voltaire era.

but Of course, the most exciting thing for 2022 will be Hydra. To see the speed and processing increase. We are convinced that many projects will run on Cardano. You just have to look at the pipeline. SundaeSwap will be live soon. Coti is working flat out on DJED. It will be an exciting year on the blockchain and the year of the community to show what is being developed with Cardano and what is possible.

Besides running the stake pool, they also have a YouTube channel. Tell us more, what type of content do you create?

Yes, this is a very exciting topic. When we started the pool, we had a lot of questions around us. Most of them were very simple things. What is that? Where can I buy it? What is a wallet? How does blockchain even work? So we decided to create a YouTube channel as well, where we:

  1. provide information for all newcomers. Instructions for exchanges, wallets etc. Everything everyone needs to get started in the crypto world.
  2. Cardano is very important to us. And here we want too Share our insights with the community. What is happening on the blockchain? Where are we on the roadmap? What are the most important news of the last few days and what is the price development of ADA?

So the canal has a lot to offer and there is something for everybody. For both beginners and advanced investors.
