Dhurandhar: The Revenge has made headlines with its impressive box office performance, crossing the Rs. 691 crore mark in worldwide gross collections by its fifth day, which is a remarkable achievement for the film directed by Aditya Dhar.
The film had a strong start, earning ₹454 crore net in its opening weekend in India. By 2 PM on the following Monday, Dhurandhar 2 had already added ₹14 crore net to its total, bringing its domestic haul to ₹468 crore.
Industry experts predict that the film is set to cross the ₹500 crore net milestone by the end of the day, making it the fastest Indian film to reach this figure, surpassing previous records held by Pushpa 2 and Baahubali 2.
With a runtime of 229 minutes and an ‘A’ certificate, Dhurandhar 2 has captivated audiences, registering over 30% occupancy in morning shows on Monday. This level of engagement is indicative of the film’s strong word-of-mouth and audience interest.
The film’s success has outstripped that of notable blockbusters like KGF Chapter 2, which earned ₹434 crore for its Hindi version, and 2.0, which grossed ₹404 crore. Dhurandhar 2 is now eyeing the Rs. 700 crore global milestone, further solidifying its place in the annals of Indian cinema.
Additionally, the film has achieved a unique feat by having three consecutive days of ₹100+ crore collections, a first for Hindi cinema.
As the film continues to perform exceptionally well, it aims to surpass the earnings of other recent blockbusters such as Gadar 2, Pathaan, and Animal.
