The launch of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Apex marks a significant shift in the brand’s approach to motorcycle design, aiming to enhance rider experience and performance. With an introductory price starting at Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), the new model is positioned to attract both enthusiasts and casual riders alike.

The Guerrilla 450 Apex features a 452cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 40hp and 40Nm of torque, providing a robust performance that is expected to meet the demands of modern riders. This powertrain is complemented by sportier ergonomics, including an aluminium handlebar that is 56mm lower and 57mm farther forward, enhancing control and comfort.

In addition to improved handling, the Apex variant is equipped with road-focused Vredestein tyres, which offer an 8% improvement in dry grip and 17% better wet grip compared to the standard model. These enhancements are designed to provide a more confident riding experience in various conditions.

The Guerrilla 450 range is now priced between Rs 2.49 lakh and Rs 2.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), reflecting the brand’s commitment to delivering value alongside performance. The Apex variant is available in three striking colors: red, black, and green, catering to diverse aesthetic preferences.

Notably, the standard Guerrilla model has also seen improvements, particularly in its tyre performance, which is crucial for safety and handling. Furthermore, the Royal Enfield app has been updated to provide riders with enhanced information and ride data, showcasing the brand’s focus on integrating technology into the riding experience.

The introduction of the Guerrilla 450 Apex comes with the discontinuation of the Dash variant, indicating a strategic shift in Royal Enfield’s product lineup. The new model includes a Tripper Dash with Google Maps navigation and smartphone connectivity, further enhancing its appeal to tech-savvy riders.

As Royal Enfield continues to innovate, the Guerrilla 450 is expected to set a new benchmark in the motorcycle segment, addressing concerns raised by the outgoing model. However, details remain unconfirmed regarding future updates or additional variants that may follow this launch.
