“As the TATA IPL continues to scale up in unprecedented ways, our push is to assemble legends and heavyweights of the league together in our studios in a way that will offer a unique insider’s perspective to fans,” said Siddharth Sharma, a spokesperson for JioStar.

This statement comes as JioStar took decisive action against a large-scale digital piracy syndicate operating an unauthorized IPTV service known as BOS IPTV, coinciding with the much-anticipated kickoff of TATA IPL 2026 in Mumbai, India.

On March 28, 2026, JioStar dismantled the infringing platform, which had been offering access to over 10,000 linear channels and a library of more than 25,000 video-on-demand titles. The operation reportedly had around 64,000 active subscribers and involved 20 individuals in its management.

Following the crackdown, JioStar filed a criminal complaint at the Cyber Police Station in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, leading to the registration of an FIR (No. 0005 dated 26 March 2026) under multiple sections of Indian law.

The website bostv.org, which facilitated the unauthorized streaming, has since been taken down by its operators, marking a significant victory for JioStar in its ongoing battle against digital piracy.

In conjunction with these efforts, JioStar also announced its presentation for the 2026 TATA IPL season, featuring over 150 presenters and experts to enhance the viewing experience for fans.

Fans will have the option to enjoy the matches in 12 different languages, catering to a diverse audience across India.

Notably, renowned cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin will make his commentary debut in JioStar’s studios during this season, adding to the excitement surrounding the event.

The 19th edition of TATA IPL promises to showcase players from three different generations, further enriching the tournament’s legacy.

JioStar remains committed to safeguarding its content ecosystem and ensuring a fair viewing experience by taking action against piracy, reinforcing its position as a leader in sports broadcasting.
