The upcoming film Raja Shivaji, directed by and starring Riteish Deshmukh, is set to hit theaters worldwide on May 1, 2026. This Hindi-Marathi bilingual epic aims to portray the life and legacy of one of India’s most celebrated warrior kings, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Recently, the film’s teaser was unveiled alongside the release of Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The teaser, lasting 2 minutes, showcases intense battle sequences and character introductions, leaving fans spellbound with its magical visuals and grand scale.
In addition to Riteish Deshmukh, the film features an impressive ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt as the main antagonist, alongside Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Fardeen Khan, and Genelia Deshmukh. Genelia has been described as the pillar of strength behind Riteish’s ambitious project.
The film is produced under the Mumbai Film Company and presented by Jio Studios. It features music by the renowned duo Ajay-Atul and cinematography by Santosh Sivan.
