The exam consists of multiple stages, including a Computer-Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Medical Examination. Subjects covered in the exam include General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, and English or Hindi.
In light of the postponement, officials have encouraged candidates to utilize the extra time effectively for their preparation. “Candidates should continue preparation and utilize the extra time effectively,” said a representative from the Staff Selection Commission. Another official noted, “The postponement of SSC GD Constable 2026 may feel uncertain, but it also provides a valuable chance to improve preparation.”
As the new exam dates approach, candidates can expect to receive a city intimation slip 5-7 days before their scheduled exam. The admit card will be released 2-3 days prior to the exam date. This year, the SSC GD Constable exam will be conducted in four shifts each day, with the first shift reporting time set for 7:45 AM and the exam starting at 9:00 AM.
In terms of scoring, candidates will be awarded full marks for ambiguous or incorrect questions, while negative marking will still apply for incorrect responses as per existing rules. Ashish Srivastava, an education consultant, remarked, “Even a single well-supported objection may lead to acceptance, while multiple weak objections may be rejected.”
