On the day of the tragedy, the girl was last seen playing outside her house around 3:30 PM. She was reported missing shortly after at approximately 5:30 PM. CCTV footage later revealed the accused, a 65-year-old man named Bhimrao Kamble, luring her towards a cattle shed.

Authorities discovered the girl’s body about 700 meters from her home. The police quickly arrested Kamble, who has a troubling history of sexual offences, including a molestation case dating back to 1998.

Following the discovery of the body, villagers erupted in protests, blocking the Pune-Bengaluru highway for over an hour. They demanded justice for the victim and accountability for the accused.
