Should you buy the OnePlus 9RT?

Judging by the specs, the OnePlus 9RT appears to be a well-rounded flagship offering. It arrives in India just three days after the global launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro. The smartphone is powered by the industry-leading Qualcomm SD888 SoC and also features a newly developed VC cooling system for effective heat dissipation.

It is a three-stage heat dissipation mechanism that includes a heat dissipation structure with five different heat dissipation materials and a heat dissipation area of 19067.44mm2. According to OnePlus, the new VC chamber offers a 20% more efficient heat dissipation mechanism compared to the OnePlus 9 series. We will examine such claims in our comprehensive review.

We’re expecting some decent results from the 50-megapixel, triple-lens camera system that uses the Sony IMX766 image sensor. OnePlus mentions that Nightscape mode has been recalibrated to give better results when shooting in low light. For videos, the OnePlus 9RT features AI Highlight Video Mode (DOL-HDR technology) and support for 4K video recording.

It’s also worth noting that the OnePlus 9RT’s 1080p AMOLED display offers a 300Hz touch sampling rate that can be boosted to 600Hz when gaming. The screen offers 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage.

OnePlus 9RT Competition & Availability

The OnePlus 9RT will fly planes like the recently launched Vivo V23 Pro and the highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro. The Mi11T Pro will bring Xiaomi’s latest innovation – 120W HyperCharge technology, which in our tests charged a 4,500mAh battery cell from empty to 100% in just 18 minutes. In comparison, the OnePlus 9RT’s 65W fast charge allows you to top up a 4,500mAh battery cell in around 35 minutes.

The OnePlus 9RT will be available in two color variants – Hacker Black and Nano Silver. The smartphone will be available in an open sale on January 17th on, OnePlus Store App, OnePlus Experience Stores,, Reliance Digital, My Jio, Croma and all partner stores across the country.
