Thomas Cook Expands Presence in Madhya Pradesh

“Madhya Pradesh is an important source market for us at Thomas Cook India,” said Rajeev Kale, President & Country Head – Holidays, MICE, Visa at Thomas Cook (India) Limited. This statement underscores the company’s strategic focus as it opens its first outlet in Gwalior, further solidifying its presence in the state.

The new outlet, located in Gwalior’s city center, expands Thomas Cook’s footprint to six outlets across Madhya Pradesh. It aims to attract strong footfall due to its strategic location and offers a range of end-to-end travel services, including international and domestic holidays, group tours, personalized holidays, and cruises.

Thomas Cook is keen to cater to a diverse customer base, including multi-generational families, couples, millennials, GenZ, and seniors. Gwalior’s proximity to Delhi drives demand for domestic travel to popular destinations like Kashmir and Leh-Ladakh, making this new outlet a timely addition.

In addition to the new outlet, Thomas Cook has made strides in enhancing its digital offerings. The company has introduced an AI booking platform that assists customers in planning personalized vacations in real-time, further improving the customer experience.

Furthermore, Thomas Cook India has partnered with Booking.com to provide enhanced accommodation solutions for corporate clients. This partnership integrates over 31 million listings across 220 countries into Thomas Cook’s corporate booking tools.

Indiver Rastogi, a representative from Thomas Cook, stated, “Through our partnership with Booking.com, we are redefining accommodation access—expanding global choice whilst enhancing the compliance and servicing framework that enterprises require.” This collaboration aims to provide wider accommodation choices within company policies and enhanced service support.

Mark van der Linden added, “This partnership is a strategic step in making Booking.com’s extensive global inventory truly ‘enterprise-ready’ for the Indian market.” Such initiatives reflect Thomas Cook’s commitment to adapting to the evolving needs of its clients.

The launch of the Gwalior outlet is expected to deepen Thomas Cook’s strategic presence in Madhya Pradesh, aligning with the company’s broader goal of expanding its network in emerging markets.

As the travel industry continues to recover, Thomas Cook’s proactive measures signal a positive outlook for the company’s growth and customer engagement in the region.
