Salah’s Future and Agent’s Statements

Reports concerning Mohamed Salah‘s potential move to Besiktas have been denied by his agent. Widespread suggestions indicated that the former Liverpool winger was close to joining the Turkish club. However, Salah’s agent stated that no decision has been made regarding his future.

The agent took to social media platform X, writing, “I personally do not know where Mohamed will play next season. What does that tell you?” In an earlier post on the same day, the agent also commented, “It is not our style to have discussions with clubs that Mohamed wouldn’t want to play for, just for the sake of noise.” These statements aim to clarify the situation surrounding Salah’s next club.

Salah concluded his nine-year tenure at Anfield after reaching an agreement with Liverpool to cancel his contract at the end of last season. During his time with the Reds, having arrived from Roma in 2017, Salah achieved significant success. He contributed to the team winning two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the Club World Cup, and the Community Shield.

Salah made 315 Premier League appearances for Liverpool, placing him fifth among the club’s all-time leaders in that category. He is also one of only 10 players to be both the leading goalscorer and top assister for a club in the Premier League, having scored 191 goals in the competition.
