On May 1, 2026, the South Central Railway (SCR) announced an extension of the Danapur-SMVT Bengaluru special train. This extension aims to manage the increased passenger load expected during the summer season.
Separately, a special train connecting Hyderabad and Gorakhpur was also notified. This service will help alleviate the extra rush of travelers heading for various destinations.
In a significant development, MP Uday Srinivas revealed that new railway services will soon link Kakinada with Trivendrum as well. This expansion is part of efforts to enhance connectivity between important cities in Andhra Pradesh and beyond.
